Just go arround your house with a notebook and your camara, taking pictures of what you want to fix, or dont really like...
mehka a list of the ones you beleive are
1 Urgent, then
2 Necesary
3 somehow important and then
4 would be nice to do...
be sure to see some videos and new ideas before you jump to a how to approach, there a great and cheap solutions for every project.
before you buy any material make a list of materials youll need, you can make an estimate by adding material to the hardware store digital cart, see arround for material you might already have... DONT buy more than you need!
be sure to bring your pictures to the store in case you are not sure what the best materials and options are, this way you can show the store associates your pictures and they can suggest the best options for your project...
